Some people I know claim to remember birth and fetal moments....but my remembering life did'nt really start till I was in kindergarden and big blow up letters we'd dance around in circles and a kid who would'nt come out of the play house and they had to call his parents cause he was freaking out...
So what are your earliest memories?

I think I was less than a year old, I was sleeping on a big cushion on the floor of an almost dark room. There was an odd dark brown fan running at full speed to hide the noise of a huge thunderstorm going on outside and it was hot..... Don't know why I remember that :) Just one of those flashes.

Earliest true memory, in technicolour and everything was about 2 and a half. Sitting on the front door step with the boy next door, drinking hot milky coffee that my mother had made for us both to warm us up after a snow-ball fight. That winter was the worse in over a century, and the country ground to a halt with heavy snowfalls day after day, but all I remember is sitting in the winter sunshine, with this lovely warm feeling coursing through my body, sitting next to someone who was wasn't family but felt good to know, all under the watchful and protective eye of my mother.
However, once me and my sister started getting shipped out to other relatives from when I was about aged 7, we went places where I had a strange sense that I'd been there before. I recognised streets and landmarks, while house lay-outs seemed as familiar as my own home. It frequently found out that I had been there before, but between the age if 3 months and 18 months. Apparently I didn't use to sleep very well, so my parents used to carry me round the house where we staying, pointing out things just for something to say. Sometimes they pushed me round the streets in the pram doing the same thing. They obviously thought I didn't understamd\ comprehend what they were saying - but something must have sunk in.

my earliest memory after birth was the severe frustration at being so helpless, and unable to make my body do anything. I remember finally being able to reach my toes with my hands and pull them up where I could look at them while laying in my crib. it was a very empowering moment! soon I couldn't repeat it often enough! I became fascinated with my toes!
oh, and the crib was a horrible offense! although I liked the mobile hung there. I just didn't like the bars one bit!

My earliest memory is that my house had stairs. That seems strange, but that was the first thing I remember.
My earliest memory...I'm sitting on my bed and beating a drum with a spoon.:)
Perhaps I was 3 or 4 then...

My first memory is when my father took me on the "L" (the name of the public transportation for the train here in Chicago) and we went to my first Cubs baseball game. I remember my dad buying be a cubs hat (which i still have today) and then he put me on my shoulders. We walked out onto the lower deck behind home plate. The view was just breath taking to me. I was 4 yrs old at the time.........
