can shrooms harm your....

can shrooms affect your nervous system for a long period of time? just wondering because i've been suffering from panic attacks, and i think shrooms may be the reason.

if you have an anxiety/panic disorder, shrooms could make it worse. i kinda experienced what you described. just lay off the drugs for a while, try talking about it to someone, find ways to stop them when they happen....all things heal with time.

They can't physically damage your body per se, but they can agitate mental problems, especially if you have underlying problems or do them A LOT.

Well, I only did them once, and I think they may have unmasked a problem. I've always been some what anxious, but never so much. I've been clean of all drugs for almost 2 months. I'm not sure if it's getting better or worse... everyday is different. Plus, I have a lot of mental illness in my family so it makes sense. Just wish I knew all this before I did the shrooms. Anyways, thanks for the responses.

if you had a latent anxiety disorder the shrooms could definitely have brought it out.

Well, I know this is a bit off topic, but I'm not so sure it was the shrooms. I mean, maybe.. it could've been, but I didn't really start feeling the panic attacks until after I took birth control a couple months later. And I have a friend who says bc did the same to her.... anyone know about this?

Another thought: if the shrooms did cause this, should I feel bad about it? Do you think it would've eventually came out anyways?

I don't know man, I remember a few instances of feeling panic between the shrooms and bc, but i don't think it was everyday until after the bc. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I don't f***ing know!
