IDK i'm not going to down your music or whatever... but most of my friends listen to shit like that and also hardcore metal like unearth underoath lamb of god, i absolutely hate it, but I can understand why they like it. For a lot of people, it helps them release their anger or whatever and pit and fuck each other up for a release... not really a good type of stimulation for tripping lol... Generally, you want to keep a pretty positive, sort of controlled environment when tripping, and music like that is generally pretty negative or 'dark' and all chaotic.

its my own personal theory that it simply dips some of your unconcious mind into your concious mind. but, that is a presonal idea. mabye to make one realize things that they had only recognized in subconcious states...Fraud anyone?
