This thread is for the purpose of posting your travel info if you will be going to gathering on the greyhound bus. Please do not post other things in here. If you have comments or questions please post them in the thread entitled "meet up on the greyhound bus". The idea is that if well all post the appropriate info we will be able to plan a little in transit meet up on the bus.
Now that the location of the gathering has been announced we can really start getting it together. There is no greyhound station in Madeline. The closest is in Redding, well more then 100 miles west of the gathering site. Do not despair, there will be ample opportunity to hitch a ride. Virtualy everybody coming in from the west coast will have to go through Redding. Reno Nevada is also a good bet. Granted, it is a little bit further away than Redding, but virtually everybody coming from the east will have to go through Reno, some folks from Sacramento and further south may go through Reno as well, and everybody who is flying in will come into Reno so there should be no problems hitching a ride. So either Reno or Redding for taking the Dog. I will be coming into Reno.
For posting your travel info do as follows. Post your bus schedule number, your place and time of departure, your place and time of transfers, and the schedule number that you will be transferring to, as well as your time and place of arrival. Also post a link to your full bus schedule. Use my info posted below as a guide line.
My info is as follows. My Bus is the schedule 4417 out of Baltimore Maryland, departing at 8:10 pm on June 22nd. I transfer to the schedule 1315 in Cleveland Ohio at 6:45 am on June 23th. I arrive in Reno Nevada on the schedule 1315 at 6:35 am on June 25th. Here is the link to my full schedule http://www.greyhound.com/scripts/ticketcenter/ScheduleDetails.asp?ScheduleIndex=1&CS1=3264423277534245%3ASock1&ID=111567487
An additional bit of helpful info is to post here some or all of what you will be wearing on the bus. This way we will be able to indetify eachother right off without having to ask around. I will be wearing brown boots, green pants with many pockets, a thermal top, a black t-shirt, a brwon vest, and a brwon Greek style fisherman hat. I will have a red camping backpack and a guitar.
Again, if you have any coments or questions please post them in the thread entitled "Meet up on the greyhound bus".
