spring council was supposed to be the 7th, right? So where are we going, anyone heard? I heard the name of an area, but I've forgotten it now, the sister I talked to said it was really far northeast cali.

Well they have narrowed it down to three sites. Which sites those are I do not know. Most (maybe all) of the sites in the sierras were less than desierable, as were many in north california due to drought. The latest that I have heard as regards location is that Reno Nevada will be the best city to fly into. That, however, may have been regarding the site for scout council.
