In this this little post here today, I am going to -God willingly- shed some light on what ever happend to the true religion of chrisitianity which was sended down as a mercy. I will not use Quran or Bible references to prove my point, that which i write here can be found in you encyclopedias, in the views of known christian and non christians scholars, so defainatly do not take my word for it, go check it out.

Our little journey starts during the time of Alexander the weak(I see no greatness in him ^^) around year 320 BC. Alexander had his intention set out on ruling and conquering as much as he could, as most of us know, he died young and never elected a suceedor(which wasnt very smart since people started dividing his kingdom). One thing which was noted during this era was the fact that people do not leave their religions too easy and if we were to unite all these people, its hard to do unite them under one religion.

If not.. a universal religion could have arosen, one which would unite different views which basicly means you could worship what ever you want, just throw it in but you must be part of this church otherwise you are not a full citizen member. What was the name of this church? It was named the catholic curch! (yes catholics existed before Christ[peace be upon him], most catholic priest dont care, saying its just a name...) Suddently a man was born, a messanger who proclaimed the same message as those before him, i.e clear monotheism, some followed and some denied. So what happend to those who followed, what happend tho these poor weak muslims? (they werent called christians by then acually, a muslim is one who submits to God, so yes these people were my brothers and sisters) They were persecuted, they were cut in pieces, thrown into cages with lions and gladiotors. The romans did all they could to try to make them perish but who can do this to a people who knew and followed the truth?

The year is now 320 after Christ(peace be upon him), and the Romans couldnt destroy these people so what to do? Well the king at that time, Constantine decided to unite the people with one religion(the EXACT same thing Alexander did before). His goal was simpel, to unite all these people with one goverment under the triune(sp?) goverment unde the already existing catholic church. Constantine had his own difficulties, he was afraid that his son would take his kingdom from him so he decided to boil him alive! The wife wernt all to happy about it and the people started supporting her, so he boiled her as well. Now, people got really angry and started chasing him out from Rome. He escaped to the place now called Turkey were a council was held so he started asking question to all these different religions(he was belonging to one where he thought he was the son of the sun and that he once killed the sun of Jupiter in a battle...)

So during this council (year 325), he started asking them about repentance. He wanted to know if one who killed his son and wife could be forgiven, he received alot of negatives except a few(very few) people who told him: As long as you witness that Christ is the son of God and he thought, sure why not and thus this small group of christians had been given more power than those who had followed Christ(peace be upon him) by obeying him and worshipping the one he worshipped and the one he commanded them to worship. So during this big council were all these hundreds of scholars showed up some(or rather many) didnt like the outcome of this and they were fought for days. Many books were presented some were added and than removed, the book of revelation was put in and out during a large period of time, other books were also handled like this(dont take my word for it, go read about this)

Conclusion:
Basicly that which happend during the time of Alexander had repeated it self, views of different religions were fused together. Where do you think dec 25 come from? This was a holiday long before Christ(peace be upon him), what about Halloween, Valentines day (acually this one came about long after this event but still has it roots in roman polytheism) and Easter, "the feast of Ishtar", where did all of this come from? Did Jesus(peace be upon him) ever teach trinity to his companions, the answer is a clear no. This concept came years after his decendance. The christian scholars argued heavily about the divinity of Christ(peace be upon him), those who put out proof for him being man were suddently poisned! What about the bible, yet to this day people are arguing, the protestants have one with 66 books and the catholics have 73, so which one is correct?

"Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah; that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah's Will)."(Q. Imraan)

I had planned on starting a thread based on this topic in the Christianity forum. However, you have stated a good portion of that which needed to be said.

I would be really interested to see where you got your info.

You're saying the Catholic church was started before the time of christ?

All accounts I've read from various sources say it was started at the Council of Nicene in the year 325 AD.

Constantine, the Roman Emporor (not King) is alleged to have converted to chritianity at that time and ordered the bishops of the various christian churches to get together, iron out their differences, and come up with one form of unified (Cathoilic means unified) christianity with one recognised canon (the present day new testament, more or less).

Constantine did in fact kill his son and wife but the other accounts state that it was after the formation of the council.

Youre right when you say that the Catholic church incorperated pagan beliefs and holidays into their dogma (Dec. 25 was the birthday of Mithris).

Again, tell me where you got your information and I'll go check it out. You say "check your encyclopiedias" but all the encyclopiedias I've read say what I just said.

Exacly, catholic means unified and this was the term used for the church which was built by the roman polytheists BC and yes the catholic church as we know it today was built during this period but the name had existed long before that perticular event, il see if I can get you some references.

That's a pretty minor detail. The rest of what you said though, the Catholic church having been established prior to the advent of Christianity, has some major implications (depending, like any other bit of history, on how reliable the source material is).

there's no denying that the Catholic church took something unique and beautiful (from all accounts of pre-catholic christianity) and turned it into a mind control device for the ruling class. The question is: was it (the catholic church) something that started with good intentions and became currupted, or was it something that was already formed and intentionally currupted something good that they saw rising and wanted to get control of.
