Isn't God the ultimate reservoir of pleasure? so what is wrong in devoting a theme park to him? I look at it as making him a celebrity and he deserves to be recognized as one.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it...I just found it amusing...I could never see it work in the US though...for some reason I think the original intent would get lost in profits...

oh i was just replying to the article...but anyway, yea its not going to work in USA, I don't think it is going to work anywhere other than India, except maybe in Indonesia or Japan...

I dont think it is much more than a profiteering venture. Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan and Mahabharat tv series were not bad, but they failed completely to inspire devotion and love of any kind. Sri Rama and Sri Krishna are described as the very pinnacle of beauty. No human actor could ever perform that role without diminishing its value greatly. It makes me sad to think that there's going to be this great behemoth of a theme park on the Ganges in a very sacred spot, using the name of the lord to make a fast rupee.
