Answer this, does anyone have a craving to just get naked in the middle of a public place? not necessarily to get sexual gratification, but also for more social issues like an attack at the old (and partly modern) conservative attitude towards nudity? Or maybe just because they feel clothes are restrictive?

I for one have this craving to just be naked, i find clothes so limiting and unatural really.

myself and several other forumers once danced naked round avebury stone circle for a dare. i thought it would be a case of taking off our clothes, prancing around for five minutes then putting them back on again, all embaressed.

as it happened, it was incredibly liberating and we all kept our clothes off for alot longer than five minutes!! a couple of them even managed to get some sheep chasing in!

Yeah i kinda get that, i have certain paranoias. i'm not wanting to be nude cos it excites me getting my bits out, but then i'm not entirely wanting to be nude cos i find clothes constrictive. Most people have got their terms mixed up on here. If you like the feeling of being nude and not for sexual reasons then its called naturism. Being an exhibitionist means that you like to be seen naked, usually as a sexual thing.

I've definitely got an exhibitionist streak and also really like to be watched wanking (by consent, I should point out). But this also comes with a fear of being caught, so it tends to balance me out. Except on occassions when I find people with the same wants...

I don't think there's any such offence as "indecent exposure" any more; technically it's not illegal to go nude in public unless they can prove you intended to cause "alarm and distress" - unlikely if you didn't even think anyone was watching. At this time of year I'm one of the few people still using Brighton's nude beach, which does make you rather conspicuous I guess. It's invigorating to be nude when there's a bit of a chilly breeze and go skinny-dipping in the sea.

Nudity is something I don't do enough, not from exhibitionist tendencies though. I find it more comfortable to swim nude, and the same for sunbathing or having a sauna. There are one or two times when it may have seemed like exhibitionism to others, such as in a couple of hotel saunas.

none of the answers in the poll ring true for me... i used to have a fear of being naked infront of others and the nightmares just don't bear thinking about, so i cured myself by becoming a model for Artists in the area... i was nervous as hell the first time, until i got my kit off... as soon as i'd sat down, it was like being at home.... i once appeared naked at my own art show. well, nearly naked... i wore woolly socks and was standing like a statue with my broom until a few people came into the room and had walked around for a bit... i then began to busily sweep the floor... what was interesting was that they were quite obviously uncomfortable with that and usually left pretty quick. Only one person asked me what i was doing and why!
