i'm back.. with a dilemma

wow, i haven't been here in awhile... i came back and the whole site was changed and i was so lost! it's been like.. 6 months almost! i even had to re-register with my name, i guess because it was out of use for so long.. lol.. but anyway, onto my problem...

i've become close to this boy.. and he seems to be really attatched to me as well.. but i'm weary of growing to near to him, because he's 3 years younger than me.. grade 10.. and he's unsure of himself right now, but we work so well together.. of course, i'm usually not about the age thing.. in fact, i've never been about the age thing.. however, i've gotten some pressure from some of my friends, because of it.. and so i thought i might get a second opinion... i mean, i'm unsure of whether or not to discuss the sexuality thing, because, as i said before, he's unsure of himself right now, but we are close and whatnot, and... well, there's my issue. feedback would be much appreciated because i'm quite attatched to him. his name is andy.

as far as the age thing goes, 16 and 19 isn't that drastic of an age difference. Don't worry about that. "and he's unsure of himself right now" This is another story. Just make sure you don't push anything too hard and be willing to go at HIS pace. But I don't think you'll have a problem with that considering that you've already shown your concern for his comfort in this thread. The thread makes me assume that he's aware of your sexuality and that he knows you're aware of his questioning his own. What I can't tell is HOW close you two are. Are we talking hugging and cuddling? Or are we talking hanging out and serious talks? How close have you become so far?

16 and 19 IS an age difference, for a 16 year everything will be scary and uncertain, especially if it is his first time, even if he has some experience.
A 19 year old, that is more sure of himself can do damage, what if the kid comes on too fast too strong because he thinks he is falling in love, your reactions as the older guy will shape whatever he thinks of being gay, and if it does go wrong, for you its just another relationship or crush gone worng, for him its the whole world, and being 16 really doesnt prepare you for the bullshit that goes on in our world .

I don't want to start a war with this, depending on what country you live in, in the US at 19 you are legal at 16 he is still a minor so be very careful from a legal standpoint.

Also as Parabola said, be very careful with his feeling/thoughts as a "first timer".

I Had A Relationship With A Guy Which Has Only Recently Ended, He's 16 And Im 20, Our Relationship Lasted A Just Over A Year, There Was About 3 and A Half Years Age Difference, In Australia (NSW) The Age Has Only Just Been Changed From 18 To 16 For Gay Sex. We Kept Our Relationship Quiet Because Of My Age! Although His Parents Were Happy For Us To Be Together, The Law Wasn't!
