I live in OB and have for the past 3 years since moving in with my husband. He's lived here for about 10 years for the most part. We love it here but as with every other San Diego town, it is getting impossible to buy a house here (a one bedroom costs about 500,000). There are alot of hippies here but most of them are homeless, struggling to pay rent, are young people that cram many into a house to split the rent, or have lived here since when they were lucky enough to buy before the big real estate boom.

ive lived in san diego all my life and honestly, its really not that great other than the scene in OB and a few other peaceful places like hillcrest and kensington, other than that its pretty much all commercialized or ghetto.
(but ob is definately a place to check out, my first shroom trip was there, which all in all was a bad idea but i still love ob)
