retreat by dawn
but love this bed
this woman
this body
use this dawn
for a blanket
part with sleep
accept this tomb
I'm your lover
moving like the seasons
You say about me
"She doesn't fight the clock
her strength is
her weakness is
my lover"
Welcome to this moment
touch of goodness exits
hanging evil in the hallway
Lover, she knows better
Drinking and drinking
somedays coming
No more witch hunt
wearing wire as my halo
Take care of your woman
don't depend on her
don't use her
Wonder why there is no eternity
make your own
No music
make your own
We're only conning
for better or for worse
the cold dirty moon
sends its thoughts
and your back to
the bed, the woman, the body
you love...

loved the vibe this one has... it has a calm, winding yet broken flow that's quite effective, great technique... enjoyed it thoroughly, thanks for sharing it...

Drinking and drinking
somedays coming
No more witch hunt
wearing wire as my halo
yummy lines

Thank you fulmah. I appreciate your thoughts on it. This is one of my favourites I've ever written, I think. Maybe...

I wish to have more comments on this poem. Atleast Bhaskar could poke his head in. :(

i especially dig your description of the moon... not romanticized...

reminds me of Plath when she said,

"Then she turns to those liars, the candles or the moon."

unconventional, untraditional... i love this well-taken risk!

a lovely poem - it made me sit and linger on it for a while.

I love the poem. I can't pick out dream lines, but it evoked a mood, sort pathos that spoke to me.
