A Clockwork Orange*

What are days for?
Days are where we live.
They come, they wake us
Time and time over.
They are to be happy in:
Where can we live but days?

Ah, solving that question
Brings the priest and the doctor
In their long coats
Running over the fields.

Philip Larkin

I really admire Larkin's work. He is one poet that I can really relate to. Are there any other fans of Larkin's poetry?

ah, the meloncholic whimsy inherent. what a slyly snide little piece... and as i had read it i found myself listening to meynard from perfect circle singing "i'm more than just a little curious how you're planning to go about making your amends to the dead..."

much love :)
