Heehee!! We went to a free baseball game today and got to defile the skybox, lol:D
What fun!!
I can't stand baseball..or any spectator sport for that matter, but we had a blast today since our frind Heather invited the entire family to go to a ShoreBirds game with her today!
Three five dollar beers later and we are all silly drunk up in the box and having a good old time!! The kids got to run the bases and one of our friends got pegged in the ankle by a lefties fly ball, we got tons of good pictures...but I can't put them on with my crappy old computer...GHAH!!!
..but who cares:p it was so much fun! Who'da thunk??
Did you have any peanuts and cracker-jack?

My brother bought peanuts!! They were especially salty nuts. He shared them with us all...I just about gagged when I swallowed one that fell into my beer.
The kids had so much fun!! our friend Phil bought them all ice cream they got to run on the field, the big mascot came up and harrassed them :D Virginia was sacked out on the way back, lol.

Minor League games are cool -- not so much the big egos of the majors. I can't believe the beer was so expensive, but it's been a while since I was at a minor league game. Good idea about snaking in your own beer. Any top level pro sporting event has just gotten out of hand with the beer and food prices, and for that matter so have college events, but with the added security it's getting tough to bring in stuff from the outside.

They have you... for at least nine innings, or three periods or two halves, whatever you're watching, and you aren't likely to leave since they work on the 'once in, no innie/outie' principle. I went to a Richmond Braves game and got soaked for $3.50 for a 6oz cup of Pisswater. If you wanted real beer, you had to walk to the stand and pay $6.00, that's right, $6.00 for a bottle of Amstell Lite or somesuch.

Yup they get you...I paid seventeen dollars for three beers had one decent buzz though. I love my family and friends, it's always a good time!
Next time we are smuggeling in our own booze because the sky box has a fridge:D
Did'nt watch the game at all but the grass sure was freakishly green.
