crazy voodoo stuff.. do you believe it?

a friend of mine (lets call her A) has Multiple Scilerosis, a diease that fucks with your nerves and brain and stuff, and can often make it very difficult to walk... i was at our friends birthday party, and he got a special "birthday" plate... and this guy who lived in new orleans for many many years made A a special plate and did some voodoo stuff on it... he handed her the plate and said you know "eat A, you need to eat...".. A often doesnt have appetite, its a side affect of the MS.. so she takes a couple of bites, and she starts to feel alright, a bit better. he tells A about the voodoo stuff that he put on her food, and he asked if there was a picture of any deceased family members around.. she had a sketch that she drew of her grandmother... as soon as he touched it, they both start crying, and they clung to each other, crying, not sure why, but they felt it was the right thing to do at the moment.... after they cried and ate and cried some more, A decides she needs to go the bathroom, and she gets off the bed, and immideately you can tell she is walking much much much better... do you guys believe it was the voodoo that helped her walk, or just coicidence? normally, im super skeptical of this sort of thing, but.. if you felt the emotion in that room... wow. you could FEEL the PRESENCE of A's grandmother in that room when they picked up that picture.. wow...

im still in shock.. sorry this is so long and complicated, im not a very good story teller.

i just want your guys' opinions in this.. coicidence? or not?
could someone tell me more about voodoo?

I don't know, but marijuana helps my mom who has multiple sclerosis. It's more of a pain reliever for her. Maybe the voodoo brownies were special brownies.
