I beg to differ - matter is condensed energy

And energy is....
a vibratory dance between electicity and magnetism, propagating through vacuum at 300,000 kilometers per second...
yet, at the very essence, what is it all???

Yeah, it's all information, or thoughts, close enough. :D

all thoughts are energy, but not all energy are thoughts. unless you consider "God's" thoughts.
certainly all matter is energy, and thoughts create. so thoughts can create matter or it's dissolution.
we experience energy as matter because we resonate at a certain frequency which corresponds to the frequency at which the things we experience as matter vibrate in a "solid" state.
if we can affect our frequency of awareness we will experience a different "reality."
what is subjective and what is objective?

Ah, you took the words out of my mouth... Thankyou. Could not have said it any better way.
subjectivity, objectivity....
objectivity is to realize the world is no more a thought, a dream. to be conscious that you are dreaming. to realize.
subjectivity is to dream a dream without knowing it ever was one.
yet, all the same... all the same. thoughts are no thoughts are thoughts...
the old zen monks used to tell their disciples to "sit"... and would not teach another word.
it is difficult to express this in words without deluding it...
but at any rate, at any thought. all is thought. all is, all isn't.

Our reality, the one that is most real to us, is the one in our heads.

Yes, matter is a form of energy.
Intelligence is therefore a form of energy.
The soul is a "spiritual" form of energy, a form at the moment not entirely quantifiable.
What we call God is an intelligent energy vortex: it is omnipresent, omniscent.
Thomas Aquinas proved "God's" existence through a first-cause argument.
One can equally prove the god-force's existence through an ultimate-energy-source argument......

can someone please explain to me how matter is just energy? i've heard it said before and never understood it despite pondering on it many times

a scientific explaination is the super string theory. Atoms are made of protons, neutrons and electrons. However these are divisible into smaller units, which appear to be just energy. These sub-atomic particles are said to be made of energy, in a string like formation, that vibrates at a certain frequency.
Photons, which are light "particles" were generally thought to be energy waves, however recently it has been shown that they actually have mass. 4 Lbs of sunlight strike the earth each day.
Beachballs, which are generally considered to be matter, if projected out into space, will oscillate like an energy wave.

it occured to me that everything is energy. it just takes different forms because things vibrate in waves with different frequencies and wave lengths.
I read that the Big Bang occured aprox. some 15 billion years ago...
I think of solid mass as stuff thats been vibrating for so long it's almost completely still.
Or are radio waves the oldest forms of energy? since they've been vibrating so long that they've slowed down and spread to the point that they're miles long?

No, because first, radio waves can be created from scratch. It just depends on how much energy you put into it, not it's age.
Also, matter formed later, thousands of years after the big bang. Before that it was just a sort of undefined soup of undifferentiated energy. Eventually all the forces (magnetic, electric, gravity, strong force, weak force) all split and then interacted to form matter.
Or something like that... :)
