Well, I'm glad that I've found all my old threads...but every time I click on one I'm told that "This forum has been moved. Please update your bookmarks." Then I'm redirected to the new HipForums. Is there any way I can open my old threads? Also, I had trouble getting in the archives cuz I'm supposed to be both logged in and signed up for enhanced services. Do I have to be signed up for that in order to access my old threads?

Hmmm.... it doesn't work for me... I tried loging in, enterering without loging in, loging in in both pages... and it still tells me that I have to be "logged on in the old forums and registered for enhanced services"... both of which I am.

Just worked FINE for me. Were you two signed up before the Crash?
BraveSir, you were weren't you? I had to login on the OLD login screen, and then comeback and click the first link. But it worked for me.

yea we were both signed up before the crash. but i dont think i had the enhanced services...i guess we have to have that to view the old archives...

I agree, I think it would be nice if someone who had been a hipforums supporter on the old forums would post their username and password so everyone has the ability to see the old posts. I was devasted, and know many others were, when I found out that I could not read the many posts on the old forums.

You will have to use the same username and password you had on the old site to get in. I found that out. When i got on the new site i changed my password. i could'nt use my new password to log onto the old site. You must use the same username and password you had on the old site when logging into it.

I would'nt give out any username or password of anykind. Thats a general rule. I just wanted to let some of the people who were trying to get on that cant get in incase they were using there new user name and password for the new site it wont work.

I was ONLY able to view the archives of threads that I had initiated.

But I CAN'T view the archives of all my posts from the many threads I didn't initiate.

Unfortunately, that's the vast majority of my posts!

Is there anyway around this serious limitation?!?

It's setup to either search for threads started by a specific user or seach by keyword. There is no limitation on the results.

I can't seem to make it work either; if someone is bored and kind enough to try and find something for me, it would be a real favor.

In the Writers Forum, I once posted my ultimate list of overused/misused words and phrases. I no longer have it in any form on any computer, and it was something I compiled over a long period of time, from many different sources.

It would be extremely useful to me, if someone could maybe find it and repost it on the writers forum, or msg me and maybe get it to me as a text file, it would be a HUGE favor.

It's unlikely that I'll ever do such a project again, and it was the best single list of that sort that I've seen. It might have even been prior to 2000 that I posted it, but I think it was about 2001 or so... but it was definitely in the Writer's forum.

Just asking because it's my only hope for finding it, I have it nowhere else, and I spent a LOT of time working on it, grabbing info from many different sources.

Did it sweety but I had to break it up into two posts since there is now a length restriction. I remember that post and enjoyed it the first time and think its very useful as well.
I think you can only use the archives if you are a forum supporter. Now I am going to scoot because this monitor is screwed and its giving me a headache.
