The Texas International Pop Festival

Did anyone attend the The Texas International Pop Festival?
What was it like?

To you all who didn't know about it, It was Labor Day weekend, 1969, two weeks after Woodstock, and thousands of hippies and lovers of peace and music converged
on the small town of Lewisville, just north of Dallas, at the Texas Pop Festival
to be and to see and to hear the music of:
B.B.King, Canned Heat, Chicago, Delaney & Bonnie & Friends,
Freddie King, Grand Funk Railroad, Herbie Mann,
Incredible String Band, James Cotton Blues Band, Janis Joplin,
Johnny Winter, Led Zeppelin, Nazz, The Quarry, Rotary Connection,
Sam & Dave, Santana, Shiva's Headband, Sly & the Family Stone,
Space Opera, Spirit, Sweetwater, Ten Years After and Tony Joe White!

Sadly they race NASCARs there now.

Actually, I think you're confusing the Dallas International Motor Speedway, which was where the Texas Pop Festival was held, with the Texas International Motor Speedway, which was built in the nineties and is located on Interstate 35W, which goes through Fort Worth. The festival site is on Interstate 35 E, which goes through Dallas. It was in Lewisville where Best Buy and a shopping center now lies as well as an industrial park, all across from the Vista Ridge Mall.
