Yes ma'am, you may eat all my cherries, or, if you are so inclined, pass 'em all around. Won't be needing 'em.
And whilst we be at it, you can have mah cumquats, too.:sunglasse

How about tiny sour apricots, those are err ripe too. I'll try the stick on a ladder when the rain stops, I think. there are a few cherries on the ground in between the dead cicadas... wonder if the service berries are ripe...

I'll try the stick on a ladder when the rain stopsHAH!!:) That evoked an image of childhood!
The grandparents lived in Athens, GA. They had pecan trees in the yard. One family gathering, the uncles wanted to roast some pecans, so they sent me and my cousins scurrying around, gathering up windfalls. The windfalls didn't amount to much, so we were then sent scurrying up into the trees with ropes to tie them off. We then scurried back down (man, we was tuckered afta all thet scurrying:eek: ). The uncles then commenced to hauling away on the ropes and, boy, did we have a pecan shower! Ah, youth!:sunglasse Roasted pecans and home-made peach ice cream - handcranked, mind you. With hand-chipped chunks of ice. Memory lane. Thanks, nirgal!;)

Sure thing :D
No peachs, Blueberries, if the birds don't get them first, I saw watermellon's potted up, if the groundhogs don't get them... :p
Sweetbay Magnolias and Japanese tree lilacs are blooming, Little leaf Lindens, buds on the Crepe myrtle..
Do realize the next time the 17 year Cicadas come around, Honey will still be in her prime and we'll be OLD!
