Jesus had a good run of it until,
the Red Tide swept across the Motherland.
The Bolsheviks’ train grinds to a screaming halt,
whisking him towards destiny.
“Good morning tavrisch” he says to one soot covered prole.
Red and White face off for five winters.
In the meantime, Siberia is covered in a different crimson,
as stations of Hell rise on Earth.
Peace, prosperity, and socialism. They brought this damnation upon us.
Peace, a mirage upheld by fear.
False prosperity perpetuated by a barrage of lies.
Socialism, a mere euphemism for a dictators’ amusement.
