Me and a few friends are thinking of growing in one kid's attic. A staircase leads to his attack, where the main attic room is. A drop dow ladder leads up into a similar room. There is an opening in the wall about 4 feet tall, which leads down a hallway about 20 feet. Then you take a left, and after that, theres a heater/aircondition, which we can barely squeeze by. after that, theres about a 8x8x6 area where we were thinking of growing. One of the problems we may see, is the smell somehow getting into the airconditioner, and being spread throughout the house. Even if it didn't get into the ventilation system, could it stink so bad, that the other attic rooms, where people sometimes go (the 1st one) stink as well? Another problem we see is that there are no windows. Would a fan b enough to keep the air flowing and provide good ventalation.

Does your friend still live with his parents?
If so good luck. You've got a lot of issues to worry about. You're gonna have to have a strong light and you're gonna have to check it daily and water it and check ph levels and what not. All I know is growing isn't a simple process and if parents are still in the house you might have trouble hiding it. It's up to your discretion though.

One of the problems we may see, is the smell somehow getting into the airconditioner, and being spread throughout the house. How about that fact this isnt your house? The fact that there is several people involved. They can TAKE your friends parents home away from them. Look for anouther location & if you really want to see it through to the end...dont involve friends. Friends tell friends!

^if there are more than X plants. i think X is 5, we would have 2-3. Now we're thinking of outside near a friends house, but off the beaten path, and off his propert.y how hard is outdoor compared to indoor?

Outdoor isn't harder, from my understandings you will not get as good of a crop from outdoors, not saying your weeds gonna suck, I'm saying if its outside it will probaly be less likely to be "amazing" For outdoors start as soon into the summer as possible, and I would suggest starting seedlings indoors for a few weeks, then transplanting outside! Keep in mind that outside people may find it, and steal your weed(which would suck)

From experience I can say read the overgrow.com faqs and use the message board. If you can't understand the stuff they are talking about then you need to research more.
