Can a female plant flower and grow buds without being in close proximity to a male plant to germinate it? Does this mean that male plants are just as important as female plants in growing buds? Does it also mean that it is useless to grow a single female plant by itself?
I hope that I am just confused and female plants will bud flowers without pollination. But that can't be right...
Much obliged.

yes a female plant grown by itself will produce buds- sinsemilla (meaning "without seeds} in fact.
if you have a male and female you will have seed bud. seedy bud or whatever you want to call it. seeds-a-million i guess.

Yes, unfortunately I was very confused. Thank you for the clarification, tiedye.
I thought pollination occurred before flowering, but apparently it’s the other way around.

it can
the males do flower earlier than the females, so in a way pollenation can occur after you have removed the males- but some pollen can linger to nail your little girls when they begin flowering, months later even.
