Somethin I wrote.

I don't now if this is poetry or whatever I just wrote it once and would like to now what you think. Any tips On writing poetry would be greatly appreciated.

The red tree on the otherside of the window screams out at me
Its laughter echos while tears fall from my eyes
outside the lake is clear
It nourishes the life all around.
In the background the mountains cry out with their freedom.
The ice topped peaks glisten in the sun
Grass is growing wherever it pleases
Healthy under a sky of perfect blue
All that blocks me from this scene is the window
The glass satarts to blacken my view
Someay I'll never see the beauty again
The darkness will cover this dream
Never again will my eyes gaze to the tree
yet forever the screams will scar my mind.
Untill that time I dream this sweet dream
Until that time
I dream.

Thanks.Yeah I just started. I had some paper lieing around when I was at my grans and bored so I wrote this. Do u have any pointers i could have? That would be very helpful :)
