Which one of these mottos (see poll) more suits (or definds) you're way of decission making toward things in daily living? And you can only pick one of the options on the poll.

It's like if you had a choice to get rid of the evil people being evil toward you with the good people being good toward you, to be free from evil people period, would you make that choice?

Or if you had the choice to keep the good people being good toward you with the evil people being evil toward you, to be willingly trapped in some sort of paradox, would you make that choice?

I say take the good with the bad. You can't change that bad things will happen, not if you want good things too. It's a duality you can't escape, unless you transcend it spiritually. But they will still be there.

Throwing away the good and bad would be like a step backwards, and could probably only be done by tranquilizing yourself all to hell so you can't feel anything. Bleh

I feel special, up until now, I'm the only one who would rather throw away both. ^_^

Lol ... I'm currently the "10%" that doesn't agree in this crowd, hehehe.

I would choose both in a sense. Most of what people judge as good or bad, is imho, neither. Winning or losing a game, to me, neither good nor bad, totally unimportant to me. If I win, no biggie, lose, same. If we threw away both, though, what joy or beauty would life hold?

I hike, and the reward for my sore muscles, (the bad), is spectacular scenery, (the good)

Either is fine. Accept all things, both "good" and "bad" as the blesings of God, then there remains no bad at all. All things are a blessing, thereby you remain unattached and find bliss.

Or reject all things both "good" and "bad" because there is not permanent satisfaction in either, turn inwards, discover within the fountain of joy supreme.

You all picking the first one know good and well if you open a box of brand new cerial (say Frosted Flakes or etc), and a few roaches crowled out...you aint going to take the good with the bad then. LOL! You're not even going to seperate the good (the cerial) from the bad (the roaches) to eat just the cerial, because you know the whole cerial is FUCKED! LOL!

Whenever the good is with the bad, the good is so ruined I see no reason to pretend or suck it up or man up about it when and if I'm the one being effected.

So I'd throw away the bad with the good or leave away from the 'bad with the good'.

sign related, your example is very short-sighted. Physically yes, we would all unanimously reject the cereal, roaches and all. But the question really deals with our reaction after that... Some would get angry and try to get refunds and stuff. Others would accept it quietly as just another imperfection in the world. I thik thats what the question is really getting at.

That's cuz you live in Rochester. If you lived in Syracuse you wouldn't care cuz the hookers are cheaper and the liquor stores are open all night.

but you don't expect6 to see roaches crawl out of cereal. There are two sides to any coin, you know in order to distinguish good, there must be bad... so yeah, Facts of Life and all that shyt...
