Bud Bomb

I never hear anyone on this site mentioning or talking about bud bombs, I've been considering purchasing one.. Anyone have any comemnts on them?

I've used something of a similar concept before.. It works well, but seems a bit pricey. :rolleyes:

It looks like it would work swell, A head shop I used to go to had a larger bud bomb, that had 50 feet of micro threaded tubing that the smoke ran through.

I've heard nothing but good things about them.

That site is WAY overpriced, there tiny acrylic bongs are $35.. my 2ft acrylic was $13 at a skateshop.

iv seen various pipes like these before
you can get one with about a foot of tubing for £12.00 at everyonedoesit.com.
would you say there is any argument for using these? stealth? more efficient? smell reduction? cooler smoke?

long story short its great! its a little on the heavy side but you can wear it round your neck and pre-pack the bowl before you go out or whatever and the shit won't fall out.

The smoke is one of the best i've ever had, so smooth that you're not even sure if you're inhaling properly (almost as smooth as shiisha). The "spiral" chamber section can be removed and put in the freezer for a few minutes for a super cool smoke.

Almost no smoke came out of the bowl duing use so i guess smell would be greatly reduced (good for a stealthy bedroom smoke).

Also found it good in windy conditions since your herb didnt get blown about everywhere.

Plus it only cost me £13.00 ($26 or so) inc p&p.

Overall i'd say its a really good all round pipe, smooth smoke, durable, VERY portable, stealthy and a great talking point. Though i'd prefer using a bong, bubbler or spoon pipe for a relaxed indoor smoke this is just as good and much better when it comes to outdoor smoking.

Just in case anyone was at a loss as to how it works heres a quick guide:

1. unscrew the bowl section (the section at the front with the 3 holes drilled in)

2. pack the bowl (make sure you put the herb in the actual bowl section and not the pipe otherwise the bowl wont screw back in properly)

3. screw the bowl section back in

STEPS 4, 5 and 6 NEED ONLY BE DONE ON FIRST USE

4. unscrew the mouthpiece section

5. the "spiral" chamber piece is inside the pipe, tip it out

6. screw the threaded end of the "spiral" chamber piece into the inside of the mouthpiece

7. now that the mouthpiece and "spiral" chamber piece are connected, screw the mouthpiece back in

8. hold a lighter to the three holes on the bowl section and inhale

One of my friends has bud bomb and anther has somthin very similar. They are deffently nice, but in my opinion are in no way worth 50 bucks.
