What in your opinion is the best?

After alot of thought I've decided for me it has to be 'I'm Alan Partridge' particularly the first series. Closely followed by Father Ted

I Think Blackadder Series 2 & Goes Forth are the best but the others are funny, Rowan Atkinson and Tony Robinson are espescially* funny:p

I was watching the best of the Catherine Tate show last night..not realy a 'classic' cuz a lot was not funny second time around .. but i suppose thats true with a lot of 'classic' comedy??.. She is realy funny anyway and is not afraid to take the piss out of all social types. I especialy like her 'granny'.. I think another episode is on next week.. go watch.. you will laugh out loud at least 3 times i promise*.

hahahaha yeah i like her.. A agressive version of the character in little britain i think a lot more truthful in many ways. I like the couple who go on about how 'mad' they both are.. i think they were in bed in the last episode... She is realy funny.

Well i have a lot of choices there I like Father Ted, Last of The Summer Wine, Are You Being Served, Vicar Of Dibley, Keeping Up Apperences, and As Time Goes By, but my favorites are Coupling, Ab Fab, and My Hero. Even though My Hero is like the stupidest show I have ever seen in my whole life.

Monty Python rocks! Are you Being Served? Allo' Allo' , and Fawlty Towers make me roll on the floor. Gotta love that British sense of humor. Its much more witty than many American TV shows and movies. Saving Grace is a wonderful movie as well.

I think Jimmy Carr is pretty damned funny!
Not when he turns up on every darn show on TV... not realy my taste as he is too clever for his own good .. his jokes are to obvious and you can see them coming from 3 miles.. he does almost the 'perfect joke' for the situation he is in. Nothing is realy off the cuff with him...imho. Saying that if he was not so slimey and 'knowing' i probably would like him.

I love the Leaugue of Gentlemen.. can't wait for the film..

I thought Red Dwarf was fantastic. Low budget, awful effects yet the energy was always present.

But indeed, Blackadder is probably the best.

God I miss England. Left when I was 18, Dec. 1975.
Would love to see some of these shows you're talking about. They would play more English programs over here in the states, if you people knew how to speak so yanks can, UNDERSTAND WHAT THE HELL YOU'RE SAYING!!!! Hell, I saw Trainspotting, and even I had a hard time understanding.

That reminds me of a great old program from BBC2

Rab C. Nesbitt!

The Scottish accents in that were so strong, I think my dad was the only one in the family who had a clue what was going on. Great show, anyway :D
