A little water thingy.... They have a raised bed with Crepe Myrtle, Hydrangea and Cherry Laurel, behind a stone wall next to a patio, and a big concrete urn type of thing painted sort of SW looking. I'm setting it up at an angle so I can have water spilling out of it into a small pond, with lots of stones and gravel. Then it will get planted with hostas, black and dwarf ophiopogon, fern, purple grasses and heliboris to make it look cool and lush.... and nobody is home to ask what i'm doing :D

I think and it's just a thought... you may need to do something radical... maybe an entire change of local and all that goes with it, get rid of the past that you are tied to where you are... you just made a major first step.... you'll find your own answer in time. Follow your heart :)
