Anyone ever made a Freedom of Information application? I put one into the NSW police service.My application was rejected.The reson being that only copies of documents could be obtained, not information in general.
Not really freedom of information.

I had reason to believe that my telephone might have been tapped.So I asked.I also wanted to know if I had ever been under surveylance of any kind .I was fairly specific about dates.

i'd think in a case like that they'd tell you if you *werent* under surveillance, wouldnt they?

is there something like the patriot act in australia too? we just got ours in canada.

The freedom of information act is designed to give you access to specific documents, not any and all information availible. Should the mafia should be able to find out if they're under survelliance?
