Why don't antidepressants get you high?

yeah i was wondering why smoking plastic doesnt get you high, i mean rubber works fine and so do leaves from the trees somtimes ill mix them all up and i think the antidepressants kick in then

Actually you can get seriously fucked up from them, but it's not a good idea. The main reason they don't produce a "high" in general though is because all they do is balance the chemicals in your brain. So if you have an imbalance (and you're depressed) they relieve the depression, but if not they don't do too much except zonk you out.
