Here is the interesting message received from the Rainbow guide:

Greetings friends :

I think I can speak for most in Our Family in stating that the 2004 edition of the Rainbow Guide was a total success!! If you haven't gotten yours yet, please feel free to contact us at <http://rainbowguide.info/contact/index.php (http://rainbowguide.info/contact/index.php)>. We have a pile, prepped with the necessary postage and ready to send.

I hate getting right down to business, but we are only a few months away from the 2005 National Gathering. Printing a Guide similar to last year's, a bit longer as we have even more heartsongs and greater number of Lightlinks, will cost us around $2700. including shipping. We presently have $1540. in our bank account, leaving US $1160 short. If you would like to help, please use the following link <http://rainbowguide.info/donations.php (http://rainbowguide.info/donations.php)>, where you will find more info on making a contribution, including a PayPal link. Donations are greatly appreciated as print costs are substantial.

If you haven't submitted an entry at this year's Gathering, please provide one now. If nothing has changed and you'd like to keep your current listing, you can simply let us know via e-mail. However, we do encourage folks to update their listings and let Family in on what's new in their lives. If you want to submit a new entry please click over to: <http://rainbowguide.info/Entry/form.php (http://rainbowguide.info/Entry/form.php)>. The deadline for new heartsongs is April 20th, but please don't wait 'til the last day.

So you haven't heard from us in a while, and many of you might be wondering if there is anything new at the Rainbow Guide, but if you have visited our website you might have seen the many great new features. We have been quite busy working on our website. One of the newest additions is a searchable calendar of Rainbow events <http://rainbowguide.info/calendar/CALeng.php?id=1 (http://rainbowguide.info/calendar/CALeng.php?id=1)> where one can search for happenings worldwide and focalizers are able to announce their Gatherings. This easy to use tool should allow us to disseminate info on Gatherings, Councils, Benefits, workshops, etc.

We have also created a LightLinks database <http://rainbowguide.info/LightLinks/LLeng.php?id=1 (http://rainbowguide.info/LightLinks/LLeng.php?id=1)> where we encourage everyone to share their favorite link(s) or, even better, an entire list on a specific consciousness raising theme, with all your family. One can easily search for links to Rainbow Family and our emerging collection of resource links. We offer this as a place where folks can create a thorough database on a variety of subjects of interest to Family, including communities, alternative healthcare, spirituality, Family businesses, and, of course, politics.

And we certainly know which part of our site you visit the most, so just this week we added over 100 new pictures from this past year's California National Gathering plus all the links we could find to other sites with photos of the 2004 Gathering. Our Photo Gallery <http://rainbowguide.info/Pictures/PICeng.php?id=4 (http://rainbowguide.info/Pictures/PICeng.php?id=4)> is now over 300 photos! Thanks to all who have contributed pictures so far, and please keep'em coming!! Of course, we still have available all of our Rainbow Raps, the Mini-Manual and a Focalizer's Mini-Manual, with PDF downloads of each, not to mention our collection of Guide cover art and Howdy Folks!

Our Family's Guide looks pretty good now, but if more of our talented Rainbow Brothers and sisters would lend their time and love, it could become truly great. Rather than just few people trying to do it all, there are many skills that could come together in this effort: photographers, graphic artists, web developers, editors, calendar maintainers, LightLinks hunters, fund raisers, email responders and more. So please plug in, join us. We are creating an advertising free Rainbow webspace where we have total artistic/editorial control and have the tools and skills so that we can realize our vision.

By consensus agreement Focalization of the Rainbow Guide is only for two years. At this moment, I have only 4 months remaining in my commitment. I will certainly continue with maintaining and even upgrading the website, in fact I've already designed the long overdue facility for folks to update their profiles and search for other friends online. However, a new focalizer for the Rainbow Guide, preferably one willing to grow the vision begun here is needed. That person's responsibilities would include the formatting of the printed Guide, fund raising, daily (e)mail, data entry, soliciting for artwork and photos.

Funding the Rainbow Guide is a continuous, ongoing process. I am sure we can all sympathize with putting together a project that costs thousands of dollars for a group that never charges for anything. Please Family, make supporting the Guide a priority, as we desire to create a publication of which we can be proud. Find a PayPal link or information on mailing us your donation at <http://rainbowguide.info/donations.php (http://rainbowguide.info/donations.php)>.

Peace and Love,
Keri

The Rainbow Guide is a freely printed publication of Rainbow friends, tribes, communities and co-ops world over, and has been in public circulation for many years. This heartsong is an effort of free love supported by many peoples' Volunteer energy and funded by kind contributions to help make it all happen in a beauty way. Each couple of years focalization of the Rainbow Guide passes to a new family tribe to continue the vibration and spread the love of a family united as one. For the forseeable future, the "tribe" overseeing the Guide is now a virtual one, and consists of folks all over the country -- and can involve folks all over the world -- including you!!!.
