death is the end period. you ceace to exist or ,even now you did exist. so how would ypu like to be treated after you die. be alowed to rot, or be cremated. be worm food or ash. not that this choice is really going to matter to you
mumification is an option, but esenstially its just a delayed rotting.
cryogenics may be option eventualy. but really this technology if ever possible is in its infancy. so sooner or later the power will cut off and youll thaw. youll lilky be burned as it takes up less space and costs less money than a burial.
im on the organ doner list myself. i find the the thought of some part/s of me being kept alive longer nice. Strangly the other persons life I might save dosnt play much a part the decision for me. This is all verry wierd, and confusing for me, considering ive tried to end my own life a few times.

"death is the end period."
How do you know this, my dear?

you can hope thier something after death but hope is all it is. you cant know it. death you can see with your eyes
the only continuation of life I can see is if somthign else eats your dead body. then given time, worked up the food chain. maby a few reconfigured molicules of your old body will eventually find its wasy into a couple people.

"you cant know it."
We can't know what happens at death but you can? :) Is that not blind faith?

I am pro organ donation. Other than that I would leave it up to my folks -- whatever would make it easier for them.

Death
The final frontier.
We all go there.
What happens?
We all find out.
What an adventure.
A true mystery that WILL be answered.
On his deathbed.
Occam will look forward to resolution.
Armed with the only thing he can take with him
Understanding. [and maybe some wisdom]
Fame, money and human earthly power are irrelevent to this transittion if one occurs.
And irrelevent if it does not.

Of course, none of us ever really cease to exist because we're made of energy, and energy can't become non-energy. As for me, when I die, chop me up and make a nice stew outta me. Grok me.:D

Ashes, buried under a pretty tree. A plant eating me... that's irony. :)
Even if it doesn't matter, the rotting casket thing is just gross and creepy.

I don't care what happens to my body after I die because I am not going to feel anything anyway!

Your faith in this matter is rather interesting. Is there a reason?
