If one were to attempt to grow a few plants in soil under a pair of flourescent lights with aluminum foil reflectors could a plant or two be taken out of veg at 2 - 4 weeks, be put in a 400-watt HPS flowering room on 12-12 light for 4-6 weeks and yeild? The op is required to run start to finish in 8 weeks...is this realistically possible for a beginner grower to actually produce an ounce or two of a good-high producing bud? Does anyone have any tips for someone attempting this?

I realize this is unlikely to work and the plants will need to be grown for the usual 3-4 month periods but it would be great to get a faster ounce. :sunglasse

Thanks for any possible help!

Also, when is a good time to start fertilizing and what NPK ratio should I use? And is it true that collecting the ash from my joints and spreading it in the pots will enrich the carbon and create higher potency nugs?

1) not enough time & wattage for getting any sort of plant size.
2) not enough time for flowering at all!
3) your fast ounce would be all leaf and will get you a buzz.
4) during veg middle number low, during flower middle number high in your npk.

Thanks b1.

How long should one wait to start fertilizing? Also, what is a good size for a plant to be before it is put in a budding cycle?

Plant should be at least 24 inches tall across multiple colas resulting from bending the main top over, like in the LST technique. Start reading the spectrum of info available at the following site: http://greenmanspage.com/guides/
