Pat o'brien had grewn up with only one woman in his life. His grandmother.
She would tuck him into bed when he was a boy every night, and cook dinner for he, his brother, and his father, along with all other meals. She used to sit pat on her knee and tell him stories, and with every story came a moral. She only used to be like this however, to pat. Pat was all she cared about. pats father and brother saw her as a completely differnet woman. she was an old delerious fart to them, who never tlaked any sense, but cooked good food. They would refer to her often as a crazy woman. Pats father had told him a lot about crazy people, among with other social outcasts of the day, blacks, gays, europeans, etc; and he had told pat to never trust these people.


She used to tell him that one day he would meet a pretty young woman. She told him that when she finds this woman, he must treat her nicely and grow a family with her. Pat had never met anyone but his grandmother who was female. He had dismissed this as one of his grandmother's crazy tales long ago.
'there are no women for me' he used to say to himself, 'i sit alone in this farm, and shall tend to it until I die'
now, pat's father's last words were, of course, for him to look after the farm. Now, pat was not imaginative, and simply took in the words that were told to him. As if he only had the left side of his brain.
In lieu of all this, pat had it imprinted in his brain at this point in time, that not only were the idea of women being someone to love and to be with as crazy, but also that he must do nothing but tend to his farm.
this is why pat had never left the farm
why he had never developed, as a person. for humans need to learn through other people. It is how we as humans have evolved, to depend largely on external teaching influence to learn, unlike most animals that know most things by instinct.


And just as pat turned out of his exit and onto the highway, you betcha, there was a woman, by the side of the road. Pat only saw her for a moment, but did not know what to do, and kept driving. But the image was all he could think about. that womans face. He thought it was his grandmother. after all, she was the only woman he had ever seen, and, of course, thewoman by the side of the road had blonde hair which is pale like his grandmother's white hair. He slowed down and began to reverse along the outer edge of the road.

The woman turned around. She looked at the ute back up. she was scared at first. but she knew shed be able to charm her way around any sort of problem. man, she was hot.
the ute had backed up all the way and the woman could look into the window.
the man looked at her wihtout blinking.
'hello, my name is Molly' she said to him.
a dissapointed glance fell on the man's face. molly swallowed and forced a smile.
But then the man stopped staring. he got excited.
'are you a lady?' he asked
'exdcuse me?'
'are you a woman or a man?' he asked as he got out of his car
'im a woman asshole'
molly stepped back but the man had come out already.
'How may i help you?'
a flush of relief swept over molly.
'can you fix my car?'

sure enough, pat could. and he could do it very quickly because she drove the sedan version of his ute, and the schematics were almsot identical.

needless to say, molly was impressed. shed never seen a man fix a car that quickly with that little fuss. then, without asking, pat reached into his ute and pulled out an air pump. he proceeded to fill molly's tyres.

Molly adjusted her top
