just a warning to everyone in here. there has been alot of PMs and messages being sent out from people with low post counts, scammers, probably cops. i myself have recieved PMs from 2 different users asking me to meet to buy LSD and asking me if i wanted to buy some weed online. Please be smart and safe, we dont want anyone in our HF getting in trouble.

Folks, if you make dope deals with people you meet on-line, you're shit-stupid.

There are scores of cultivation sites. Most of them prob. have pigs lurking.
But I found out years ago--don't say anything on-line that you wouldn't yell in a crowd.

It's also easy for someone rip you off. I know a guy who joins a lot of sites, pm's newbies and eventually offers to sell them weed.
They send the $.
They get nothing back. As soon as he gets the $, he stops posting under that name and re-joins as someone else.
He's made thousands doing this.

every time a new issue comes out- ten or 20 highscool kids join this site...
Not to say that LEO is not watching.
Especially this site where there are a lot of younger, more gullable people.
I been into hightimes since i was in jr high myself, when they came out in the 70's....
And yes I was more gullable then.;)
I have gotten wierd p.m.'s on almost every site I visit, mostly people i dont know wanting seeds. I dont sell or give away seeds though, I just make my own is all.

If cops are really looking over this website, they should be spending their time catching serial killers and terrorists.. NOT people who use cannabis. That's so gay... The founders of Hipforums created this website for people who seek information, support, and just want to be social and have fun, not to get us thrown in jail.

Cops looking over this site are totally taking advantage of us.. IN fact it would bE WISE if they had a warning like they do on p0rn sites but instead of saying you must be 18 or over, they should say "by entering this site you are agreeing that you are not affiliated with law enforcement". I hate cops because they are hypocrates. On marijuana.com, they'll tell you "it's not the cops fault it's the people who make the laws". I do blame the people who make the laws, but the cops are no better, for they can decide if they arrest you for a half gram of mj, write a ticket, or just let you go. But either way they'll probably end up smoking it anyway

o.K., maybe I'm naive, as I'm Canadian, but, lets do a reality check here guys.

1. Don’t you think the police have better things to do with their time than surf the net, and try to bust someone that could really be living anywhere for buying a couple doobies or some cid? Umm, and by better things I mean chasing "real" criminals...

2. I've been to enough festivals in the US, (and Canada)... the police see people smoking and doing things.. and pretty much just walk buy... they are there to keep people safe.. not to bust kids for a gram or two... the truth is.. the don't care... your mixing politics and law enforcement. True story.. we were at a bar last summer checking out our friends reggae band... the police showed up on the patio.. we didn't even put the pipes away.. people were smoking.. and all they said to us was... "hows the band? any good?". Yea, they are so into doing days of paperwork and sitting in court to bust some poeple that are really harming no one, including themselves.. yet, you think they are online looking to make a "private" sale.

3. I hate it when people call them pigs... the truth is... drugs are illegal.. that’s not their fault.. blame the retarded government (bush admin.. and now our conservative puke of a party).. not the cops.. they will be the first ones there to put their lives at risk to save yours... They have done it for me.. and I'll always have high regards for them and their profession.. Yea, I'm sure there has been a bad cop here and there... but hey, there are bad humans on their earth.. we don't just give up on the whole human race... ya know..

On the other hand... Scams sound more realistic... what we need is something like an Ebay for bud... lets call it budbay... where we can have rating systems for people who ripped others off.. so if someone has too much negative feedback... we stay away from them..

Wha.. Wow man... I have not seen anything like that before... To be honest with you... my biggest confrontation with the police was probably a speeding ticket... but... I have been caught a couple times smoking... they have never said a thing to us... We usually party at this place downtown... and they drive by us all the time as were passing the duchie around... they dont bother us... and in return we have never had any problems (other than noise complaints) at this place.. Even when they come out to ask us to keep it down, the place reeks of weed.. they don't care.

I see your in the USA, and I've heard its a different world out there... but I'm sure there are asshold cops here too.. but from my expeirence, I've seen them risk thier lives to help people (me included) out here (very long story)... don't give up on people brother... trust me, there are good ones out there...

Yea I believe ya, it's always been like this here in my area of the us though, even older dudes who've lived here their lives have a LOT more stories than I do of even crazier shit, most cops here couldn't be bothered to help anybody, but they see an easy shakedown, like a long hair with a GD shirt on and smell a little reefer, ope all of a sudden it's time to "do their job."

This is an open source, just like myspace, facebook and everything on the internet. It is not a waste of time for police to be watching it. Its simple intelligence gathering and proactive policing. So dont do anything with anyone you dont really know from outside the net. be safe or get caught. They are watching whatever you may think.
