Hi Everyone!

It's a nice sunshiny morning out there. I did chores about an hour ago and have been thinking about going out to muck the mare's stall. I cleaned Raven's stall yesterday for the first time in almost five weeks(my first time, not the first time the stall has been cleaned). But my left arm is so sore from that effort that I'm gonna let Dacia turn out the horses and clean both stalls today... as she's been doing for a couple of weeks now.

Ken took me to the doctor's on Wed. I don't have any pain in my shoulder while I'm keeping still, and I have been able to move my arm a little with some minor discomfort. The bone ends are still overriding one another by about two inches. The sharp end of one broken bone is sticking up from my shoulder and the other end is pointing downward. There's still about an eigth of an inch separation between them, and no new bone growth yet.

The Doc told me that he wanted me out of my sling so that my arm can swing free, and he wants me to stand facing a wall and spider walk with my fingers until my arm is above my head and I can press my armpit against the wall. Wants me to do this every hour for three weeks... Oh yeah, like I'm Really gonna torture myself like that.

Dacia informed me on Monday that she's pregnant and is having terrible morning sickness. So the time has come for me to climb back into my life.

Kenny and I will take total charge of the barn this weekend, with me taking over morning chores and helping Ken with the pasture gate when he puts the horses away at night. Dacia will still come over every weekday to clean one stall and walk the beasties down the hill and turn them out.

We should have three acres of the backyard fenced on the 17th of Feb. And we'll have a turnout shed in that pasture so Raven and Precious will be out there 24/7. That way I won't have to worry about walking them to and from the barn, and their stalls will be unused and remain clean... other than in a prolonged rainy period or in really nasty weather. And they both Love to be in the backyard... much more so than across the road.

I'm gonna try and drive my truck today, for the first time in almost five weeks. Have to take my Xray films back to the Radiology Dept. of the hospital. I tried to scan them so I could show you, but they came out all black... But viewing a collarbone broken this badly makes even me feel oogy. So you'll just have to take my word for it.

That's all the news what is the news from here. You all have a good weekend and I'll be talking to you soon.

Love,

Dear, dear Sam,

It's sooooooo very good to hear that life is headed back toward "normal" (what ever that may mean). So very, very, very, very good.

Well, it's getting late (6:15am). The sun will be up soon, so I gotta get to work.

Peace and continued healing,
your friend,
