My man and I are at odds on this. Say you are in your house and you are tripping on acid or mushrooms or something. You have eaten everything. There are no pipes or pot or anything else illegal. The cops show up and know you are tripping. They search and find nothing else. What can they do?

well I don't think they'd first of all know you were trippin. would they? you'd probly act normal. but if a cop or customs agent at an airport ever starts accusing you, there's only two ways you'll respond. yuo will get really nervous or you'll get pissed. This happened to me in 1997 when I came back from europe and got hassled by american customs. the douchbag went though all my shit and emptied my backpack and then lied to me and says, "why is there weed in here" and I got pissed and say "THERE IS NO WEED IN THAT BAG" so just get pissed at the cops for bothering you at home in the comfort of your own freakin living.
have fun!! ;)
and remember when tripping: it's never a good time to die. :))

they cant really do anything, unless you're incapacitated, then they'll treat it like a health problem and call an ambulence... i dont know if you can get in trouble for blood tests for medical reasons, but yeah...

the cops knocked on the door to a friend's house and they were tripping. You could tell from their pupils and because they laughed at the cops the whole time. The cops said that they could arrest them on charges of injesting an illegal substance, but they didn't and left.
We were confused as to whether that was true.

probly depends on the laws of the states but arrest seems doubtful.

For one, make sure you're rid of the baggie that you had the fungus in, as that could be a paraphenelia charge right there.
Otherwise, if you don't make an ass of yourself ("No, officer! Don't sit in that chair, it bit me earlier!"), then things like having dilated pupils aren't at all noticeable. Play it cool, ask them to come on in and sit down and be cooperative; more than likely you'll throw them so far off they'll just leave instead.
If for some odd reason they figure it out, they CAN take you to the hospital, however, the police can't charge you for anything without a confession or any other evidence.

Yeah, you can't get arrested or charged on just a drug test, guys!

It depends on the situation...
For example, if you're in a car accident, and the police suspect that you're under the influence of scheduled substances...then yes, even without a confession a positive drug test COULD put you in jail.
However, being under the influence of a controlled substance in a PRIVATE environment is not against the law (in and of itself.)

can they give you a drug test for acid? I didn't think they could.

You can be tested for LSD, though the tests are generally rather expensive and acid is metabolized EXTREMELY fast (roughly 12-96 hours); so your chances of being tested for LSD are slim-to-none unless you're in a life-or-death situation and whoever would be testing you would have reason to believe that you were under the influence.

Well, you'd get a posession charge for having anything on you, THEN if you failed a drug test you'd get a DUI (they aren't limited to alcohol, you know).

My last post was refering to on private property (like a house) with no more drugs around.

right. I was talking about in a private home with no other drugs around
not being a dumbass and driving. Who drives on acid? Not that I couldn't but it's an incredibly stupid idea.

The last time I tripped on acid my friend decided to dose up one of our other friends for his first time, which I knew was a bad idea because he was sitting there talking to us while he was waiting on it to kick-in talking about "Oh, it's all a big game, you have to be badder than everyone else" (talking about psychedelics)...he was on the phone for about 45 minutes, not talking to anyone on it...then he said "I'm gonna go get my drink out of my truck."
2 minutes later we heard him peeling tires out going down the road. After about 45 minutes we got a call from his ex-girlfriend; he was crawling around in her front yard crying...so we had the pleasure of explaining to her that we fed him some LSD.

I believe the only way to test for LSD is through a spinal tap....there's no way the police are going to drag you into the hospital for that.

Spinal taps are now only used in situations where the subject's going to die anyway, so that's a non-issue. LSD can be tested for in extended-panel drug tests, but these tests are so much more expensive that they're not going to test you with it unless they already have a reason to believe you've ingested LSD.

I thought the spinal tap thing was true too.
I'm sure they've come up with something else by now.
and if they DO test you for LSD, and but can't find other drugs in the home, can they charge you with anything? Liek consumption of an illegal substance?

If you don't admit to taking it and you're premises are clean otherwise, then no.

they cant search your house without a warrant, correct?
eat_some_LSD
02-25-2005, 03:49 AM
They can search your house, but if you demand to see a warrant beforehand (and they can't get one) they can't use anything they find for evidence (they can just confiscate it).
If you're really worried about it, ask to see a warrant...if they can't serve the warrant but still want to come in and search, you can't (technically) stop them from doing so.
