Although not a definite, in most areas marijuana is a lot easier to find than harder drugs, and how do you find those drugs, by doing marijuana first and getting connects for that.

Although I do myself believe that drug abuse shouldnt be looked at as a crime problem, but as a public health problem. I do understand exactly why the DEA exists and they dow hat they do. The original intent for most drugs illegalization was either money or racism, yes. In todays world there are many good reasons for drugs to be illegalized though. You have to first understand that most people who do just smoke even marijuana may have a problem, it isnt as addictive as other drugs but it does have addictive properties. Even drugs as simple as marijuana will "steal your soul". Once you become a chronic marijuana smoker, most definetly if you arent growing yourself, what is the main thing on your mind? Getting high. Much like an alcoholic thinks about booze. For most stoners the only thing they really get excited about is weed, and without weed things are not fun. We definetly view alcoholism as a problem, yet we dont view the craving for marijuana and that form of intoxication as a problem? It most definetly is.

From my expierence most stoners ive met arent motivated at all unless they are high. This may be different from you, but for the majority of people it is not.
