Storm dog lost his home
when the roof blew off his house
he was lifted by
a hard fast wind
and collided with a mouse

The mouse clung fast
to the matted hair
on storm dogs big old head
but at that moment
a cat whizzed by
with golden fur of red

They made a lovely trio
as the wind increased its might
hovering over coffee shops
and raging rivers blight

A little boy upon a roof
grabbed onto Storm Dogs leg
he placed the group
next to his chicken
who sat upon an egg

The people and the animals
stayed perched upon the spot
by morning they were rescued
by Mr. Henry Scott

The flood waters finally went away
and everyone found a home
Mr. Scott was a wealthy man
he gave Storm Dog a bone

The mousie got a little barn
filled with seeds and grains
the kitty got a cat house
to keep her from the rains

The little boy went to college
to become a veterinarian
the chicken with the egg on roof
became a vegetarian

Yes, and seeing eye to eye can help one another survive. Even common enemies...but then...people tend to forget..so the storms continue...many of which we bring upon ourselves.
