Who is reponsible for one of the greatest human tragedies in human history. If you're not very religious then you will claim it was the shifting of the tectonic plate that caused the disaster. What if you are religious, especially if you're a jew, christian or muslim who believes there is only one god who is omnipotent. Aren't floods his ways of getting rid of people as with Noah? Even the Archbishop of Canterbury said his faith was tested. If you believe in one god and he controls everything then there is no one else. He must be responsible.

That's a very pessimistic line to take.
I accept that it is a terrible disaster but I'm very optimistic that there will be a hell of a lot of good that'll come out of it and that it'll teach us (humanity) some important lessons.
Besides, it was caused by the fact that excited (warm) atoms take up more space (are less dense than) cool atoms.
If this didn't happen then who knows whether we would be here in the first place.
