I totally agree with you Gladstone. The thing is to i dont really consider the pictures of naked people alone as porn either. I only consider the hardcore stuf porn and pictures of people engaging in sex porn. At the same time i dont belive nude pictures of people under age should be shown anywhere. The age thing is simply to CYA..... the government is tough about this and monitors porn/sex sites routinely. Whether you agree or disagree with the age limit, that's a total different issue than getting your butt busted for allowing underage people to view your site. That's why we must take precautions in putting up warning pages. If you lie and enter, we're not responsible... but we have to cover our butts :rolleyes:

And just as a note for skip... I totally understand what goes into running and maintaining a website...between my fiance' and I we run 4...many people just fail to realize the amount of time, effort and $$$$ that are spent by webmasters....I typically spend 12-16 hours a day working...on a light day, I only do 8 ....if I take a day off, it means I've only spent a couple of hours...LOL And keeping members satisfied and everyone happy, including yourself, well.... it's an ongoing battle.... :p

The age thing is simply to CYA..... the government is tough about this and monitors porn/sex sites routinely. Just because people look at porn, doesn't mean they are bad people. I look at porn on ocassion and i am always nice, sweet and kind. I dont see any disrespect to it at all as long as both the male and female agree to it. I always treat people with respect. Porn is my outlet for sexual tension. I am single and live a fairly lonely lifestyle. living on social security only getting 600 a month makes for a lonely life. Some of us people with disabilities need stuff like this because no woman wants somebody with so little meterial providence. And i need to relive sexual tension somehow. Some people out there are way to uptight over this stuff. just because somebody looks at porn doesn't make them a person that is not nice. I know it's a tired old argument but what's so wrong with minors seeing naked people or even seeing naked people having sex?? (shock horror!!). The worst thing that happens to most of us growing up is that we're told our bodies are wrong and something to be ashamed of. And this has fucked up and repressed society no end.

Absolutely not. People are posting nudies of their own free will on this forum. Skip has no control over what they do and no legal right to publish them elsewhere. ASACP (Adult Services Against Child Pornography) would not tolerate a site where people who are not verified to be over 18 via CC to show off their naked bods. If people were showing their genitals and breasts via home photos, this also would become an adult site, meaning it would have to be registered with Net Nanny and Cyber Patrol, etc, which means NO KIDDIES COULD VISIT. Plus the host Skip uses may or may not be adult friendly, so he could have to shut it down/move it.

This isn't exploitation because it would involve a degree of serrepticious behavior, like members emailing each other nudies and Skip somehow steals them. It's not legally exploitation. It is not whiny at all, I do not feel I am missing anything by not seeing nude pictures on this site, I am merely expressing my opinions on the matter, whis is surely one of the reasons this site exists and is used by so many. I have no argument with Skips decision to ban porn on this site, but my querie was more to do with what is actually considered porn, a picture of a nude person really isn't, an erect penis isn't. If it is measured by what can be seen to be arousing then there will be little that can be shown. An erect penis is no more porn than a picture of frying pan.
