Bob Dylan - a "bright, new face." Mind boggling! Who knew that "bright, new face" would become a legend in music history? Wow... :D
That was awesome, thank you! :)

hi flowerian
didn't find it anywhere. i scanned it. i have saved tons of stuff like this and have a 2 car garage (my car hasn't seen the inside of it 25 years...no room!) filled with old rock/ music memorabilia.i grew up in greenwich village in nyc and saw dylan for the first time in around 1963-4. sorry i can't tell you the exact year. i think it was at gerde's folk city but i can't be positive about that either. i did go to the famous show at forest hills on august 28, 1965 where dylan was backed by the band and went electric. he actually did that for the first time in public at the newport folk festival, but for some reason people tend to remember forest hills more.
this newspaper article though, was saved by a friend as i was not yet into dylan in 1961, it took me a couple of more years. my friend knew that i was a huge fan so he gave me a copy. i have posted some of these kinds of things on dylan sites or sites where people only seem to want to argue about "who knows more" or "who has been to more shows". that's all so stupid to me. so i thought the people who couldn't have been there cause they're too young, might appreciate some of this stuff. glad that's true, cause for me it's all about the music and sharing it.

It seemed like the writer, Bob Sheldon, didn't have much of an interest in Dylan:rolleyes:, but he pulled it off. Dylan is probably one of the most respected musicians nowadays. Hats off to both a' ya Bobs.
