After a while you'll never remember the old forum.
I'm sure somethings have been lost, but they'll get them back.
This is much better in my opinion.

I don't like it! It took me two years to get used to using the old forums. I'm crap with computers and all that jazz..

Nicks & numbers of threads are not important.
But I'm sad, and I think it's senseless to delete hundreds of open threads just for the purpose of introducing this fancy new image.
I'm also worried that many people will quit, because of their frustrations of this. I almost did, since I haven't received a mail in advance (which is also a serious critique to direct). -I just found out about all this a few hours ago, and I was totally confused, because I didn't hear anything about it.
love and understanding,

I feel so lost.. I mean I'm not saying this or the other was better, I haven't been around this one long enough to judge it. But everything has changed and I miss our old threads.. hope they'll put them back.

Wolfie, the lost posts wasn't a product of the new way. The server host screwed the pooch!! One of their techs was doing maintenance and messed up, deleting, as I understand it, damn near all of Hipforums. The server host had not backed up the site (a violation of the contract), and here we are. Skip is working, as only he can, to restore what he can. Have patience everyone.:)
Y'know, what's funny to me is that the majority of folks who are saying "I don't like the new" are using the functionality of the new in their posts and sigs.
WALK THE TALK, KIDDIES!!!:p
It's ALL good.:)

I dont want just to complain without being positive and constructive. don't misunderstand. It's just a little confusing, all this - especially because we weren't being mailed in advance.

As all accounts are being registered all users have been labeld GUEST. Major work getting the forums back up and running is still being undergone, user titles will be looked at soon. Note: Once you are set validated you can give yourself a user tiles under the USER CP menu at the top of the screen, it will replace your Defaut User title. Moderators will still have access to your group. Giving yourself a user title including the words Moderator, Webmaster, Administrator, ect are not approriate.
I'm not too fond of the new look, but it will probably grow on me.

I liked this forum over the others because it didn't look like this... but now that hipforums has conformed to the way everyone else has done it... I'm questioning whether to stay here or not...

I did like the other one alot better, this one's alright though. It just seems all high tech like. It's trippin me out! I lost my old screenname too. Well not really, it's the same kinda. Hey, how do I become a member?

Xaos, there is much more admin control over this site now. So things like custom titles, signature photos, etc. are options only available to those who reach full member status. Other more advanced options are reserved for those who support the site. More details later.

Right now, i like the old forum better. But the new forums do have some advantages. I haven't been able to find all of them yet, I like being able to post in blue, my favorite color.

Wow, I'm lucky - I just recently joined the forums, I hadn't got used to the site yet, and had only made two posts. Once again proving Dylan's thesis:
"When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose."

These new forums are fine. I am glad the pictures are gone. Too much to scroll through. Also a pain in the ass when the same person was replying again and again and you had to keep looking at his or her huge sig pic.
I like this one.
I was over 2000 posts, but big deal. Life changes.

i agree...i like the old ones better...the new ones are harder to figure out.....i can not believe that we all have to start over again....i think we should have been still able to sign in under what our names were so that we could pick up where we left off because we were the ones that spent many hours on here to get all of the posts that we did....and just because there was a problem we all have to start as a guest?....WTF, man....

even though I am pretty engaged with the old one... I think is not a worth to continue using it... in this case the chaos will be the emperor.. people won't know who is posting where.. and we are gonna lose each other contact & messages...
I suggest to stuck all together to the new one... and maybe asking to the the Super-Gods of the forum to implement all the old stuff still "not corrupted"... if this is possible somehow... :)

hey same old crap everyone else posts....new here. New to these hippie forums...but I am coming to terms with reality. The reality is I am a HIPPIE. I want to live off the land, do the communal living, love bon fires, love the star, tribal escapades and ritual, etc. I want to get off the grid and be self reliant. I am not a sheep and do not want to be herded any longer. I am more of a goat, a she-goat. On to the rest of the bio....
I am tip-toeing on thirty. Mother of an amazing 4 year old that is in remission from leukemia....I blame the environment and fluoride in the water system...I have a right to be upset. I see innocent children with cancer weekly and its a horrible thing. I want to get back in tune with nature. Let the Earth take care of me and I will take care of her. The universe bows to the current. But let's try to stay positive here. " I build my world from LEGOS!"
I just recently married the beast of my dreams on 7-7-07.
I am a gnostic thelemic Chaos magician transcendentalist. I will just invent my own labels but I have a few other things under my belt notch. If you don't like my terminology we can just agree to disagree.
I like William Reich, Tesla, Robert anton Wilson, Bryin Gysin, William S burroughs, Austin Osman Spare, Uncle Al, Genesis P. Orridge, Timothy Leary, Hunter S Thompson, Michael Tsarion, Freeman, Jordan Maxwell, Jonathan Sellers and Allen Greenfield and many others.
That's a small introductory offer for those who hung with this post long enough to come to its end.
