so i guess that's what i am. we were talking the other day about how our senior class doesn't know anything about each other, because we don't, and this guy says to me, that's just because you're an outsider looking in. you wear it on your sleeve that you're a pothead and flaunt it and that's why people don't like you. i honestly didn't know people didn't like my friends and i because of this. i am nice to everyone in my school, whether i know them or not and i get the same kindness in return from them. i don't care if smoking pot makes me an outsider because i am happy with my life. i don't talk about smoking pot or brag about it, but because i choose to wear hemp and the occasional tie dye shirt i am flaunting it. i know some kids that dress just like i do and have never even smoked pot in their life. ok i'm done, i just needed to vent

Kinda like your hair color, eye color, etc. And another thing: you should not be judged by your skin color either. I agree with what you are saying about judging people by their character and not by aything else. I was simply saying that I think the world would be a better place if more people smoked pot, it would be legal, less violence, more creatitivity ect. i always laugh when i hear kids say things like "oh my god, they smoke pot like every single day, that's so bad." i don't think smoking everday is wrong at all. when i first started smoking pot it was something that was all planned out for a friday night or something. now it's an everyday thing. as bad as it may sound i've made it a part of my life and my daily routine. i don't think i am wrong for it at all, i still get my shit done, and i enjoy myself. people that play a big part in my life accept me for it, even my mother, so kids making bad comments at a school that i will be attending for about 15 more days don't really phase me. i'm happy with my life and that's all that matters.

i don't flaunt it at all. maybe the tie dye and hemp give it away but i think that is ignorant that people assume you smoke pot bc of how you choose to dress. they can assume away, bc they're right...i am a pothead, i'll admit it. but that's not what i'm all about. there's a lot of gossip in high school and that's why i expect people to talk about me. everyone talks about everyone, it's so lame. when i graduate in less than a month i'm hoping that i can be around more people that accept it, but if not, no big deal. i just wish people would worry about themselves and not other people so much. i'm not hurting anyone and i don't judge them for not smoking pot. a lot of kids brag about how much they drank the night before and how drunk they were...what's the difference if i say i got pretty stoned last night. for some reason alcohol is completely acceptable and smoking pot isn't. some may say, because it's illegal, but the kids judging me are drinking underage...that's illegal. i know you've all probably heard the song "burn one down," everytime i get judged i always think of the lines "my choice is what i choose to do and if i'm causing no harm it shouldn't bother you...your choice is who you choose to be and if you're causing no harm you're alright with me." i wish everyone could get that message and understand it and live by it but for some reason we live in a world where people care too much and judge others. i could go on forever about this, but i won't ;)

hell pot smokers are even pretty varied in thier personalities....youve got the hippy folk, your stoners, rednecks, metal folk, gangstas, and so on. at my school a good majority of people smoke. the others will never touch the stuff but they dont mind it. either way, at my school almost everyone knows i toke including the teachers. they know it doesnt really affect my work ethic. but what really pisses me off is when people assume youre stoned because you do some weird stuff. its as though they cant accept some people are just plain weird. in fact when im stoned im much quieter and normal when im stoned....when im not high i have the most random thoughts and actions....people sometimes anger me, but i aint lettin it get to me

Don't worry, you shouldn't have to deal with people like that once you get to college; go to a liberal college and a good amount of people will smoke.

At my school, if you deal drugs, consider yourself on the homcoming court for god's sake! I wouldn't have all the friends I have if I didn't do drugs- they are just my friends because I do drugs, but I have real friends who wouldn't care if I used or not so it's all good. i go to school in a suburb of cleveland. what i find funny is that a lot of them do smoke but won't admit it to the kids that don't smoke. like one day i was talking to my friend that was on the football team and he was sitting with a bunch of kids in the cafeteria and i was talking about going over his house the next day. then i asked him if he wanted to smoke bc that's what we usually do. i didn't even say it loud, but he looked really uncomfortable and this kid next to him that i know doesn't smoke was like, "yeah man, i'll throw down on that shit," and he started laughing. i think if the kids who do smoke just admit it to their friends that don't accept it than maybe there will be so many of them that they have no choice but to accept it. i mean, i've seen some of the kids that are so "against drugs" tripping their balls off. i just wanna ask them, who are you kidding? the reason why it's not accepted as much in my school is bc the kids that do it don't want to admit it and talk about it like it's bad. those are the kids that are scared to be judged and don't wanna get "kicked out of the group". they're scared to stand up to their friends and admit that they like it. they're scared that one day they may be that outsider looking in...who knows

I used to be friends with two people who now are quite rude to me for being the way I am.

They both got on my case really bad one day in History for wearing hemp and tie-dye, and being a big fan of Bob Marley.

It's almost like they hated me for it; they said the shit with such nasty contempt.
