We are just getting the storm now...the lightening is beautiful!!
We do need to gather and if we can't do it at Marie's y'all are more than welcome to come down here...course there's no falls to hike to but there's other things to do. What are our options?

Anywhere is good with me...
Most of the storm missed us, for some reason they tend to split and go around us here once the weather warms. But we got heavy rain with a lightening show all around us..... and then the sun came out just as it was setting and uplit the back and bottom of the storm clouds... red, orange pink to brilliant white against a blue sky and lightening flashing..cloud to cloud and cloud to ground...... There was a vortex spinning off the back edge trying to spin up....it even quieted the cicadas for a while :)

We have'nt even gotten one cicada yet..and I hear they are good eatin':(
We get missed by most of the storms too...something about the Chesapeake, and Indian river Inlet but the two combined pushes most everything north of us.
Well I guess it's up to Marie and Ron then, what do you guys wanna do? It would be fun to have it here, people have been itching for a good bonfire, and my brother and brother in law would looove to jam:)

That would be Extremely Low Frequency radio...It's how the Navy talks to submerged subs...or in Scholar's context, the Earth Liberation Front

Sorry if I appeared to disappear, being of a red-headed celtic physical appearance I have a certain affinity with the Scots. As we know, our one battle tactic is to lie hidden in the heather when the Sassenach soldiers go marching past, then leap out in ambush. Oh and lifting our kilts and being led into battle by Australians in face paint.
Old joke.
Queen Victoria to Scotsman. "And tell me, what is worn under the kilt"
Scotsman's reply, "Nothing marm, tis all in perfect working order"

Yep, the Scots are another group with a strange mix of reputations. Dour and cheerless, yet noted for optimism, drunkeness and wild parties, church-going yet pagan, macho but romantic, stay at home yet spread all over the world, parochial yet well travelled, i.e they turn up everywhere. More call centres are set up in Scotland than anywhere else in the UK because of one statistic - the Scottish accent is rated the most appealing and honest by the bulk of the population. The voice of a highland woman with a soft accent is the nearest thing I get to telephone sex! - even if I do have to say no the credit card!!!
(I'm not that kind of Moomin):)
90% of the worlds female population can probably identify Sean Connery with the eyes closed, just by listening to the voice. Billy Connolly is the one person who can consistantly make me laugh.
Now all I have to is look up that receipe for a cricket haggis and adapt it for cicada's. Should go well with tatties and neaps, with cock-a-leekie soup for starters.
After dinner we can play scrabble with all the many fine high-scoring words that the Scots have contributed like Jo, (a female sweetheart or loved one) or Az, ( a wood-chopping axe), or wuz, ( a milksop, or someone lacking in bravery)
