P.M.s

I like the new forums and most else that comes with it. But today it found its limits. I do NOT like the new P.M.s. I tried to send an important message, and it said it was too long! The old ones use to hold darn near as much as you wanted. I was even sending someone free lessons in them. Now I can't. I'd sure like to see if the P.M.s could be changed and made to facilitate long posts or letters. Thats my suggestion for imporvements, but I have a feeling a format is a format is a format is a format. (sigh)

How long was your PM? I think the standard user class has PM's set for either 3000 or 5000 characters...

All users on here have an email address, for a large document I'd suggest using email instead.

can be a good suggestion in case of very long files...

but still remains the problem I pointed out in another thread... why only 50 pms allowed??? why?

Some people get massive amounts of PMs that they don't need, but they keep anyways. This probably wastes unneeded space..so some limits must be set (I'm guessing)

I agree with Manolao, that 50 P.M.s is not very many. Take into consideration that both are counted (the reply and those sent to you), so really its only 25 YOU typed, and 25 received.

As for larger documents to be put into emails, one reason for PMs is to avoid spam and/or not give out email addresses.
