Om Ma Ni Pad Me Hum!
I am a Vajrayana Buddhist who attends the Sakya Monestary (http://www.sakya.org) here in Seattle. I would love to hear from other folks of like mind and spirit.
Om Vajrasattva! Your brother, Vivian (Nawang Tsultrim)
Cool. I had a good friend who was into vajrayana buddhism, he kind of helped me get into buddhism... but mostly I've studied Mahayana Buddhism... perhaps you could give me some good resources to learn more?

Yeah, I have been doing some reading on this type of Buddhism lately. I've read When Things Fall Apart by Pema Chodron and Buddhism for Beginners and Open Heart Clear Mind by Thubten Chodron. Great books and I feel like I have learned some valuable things, but there is so much to grasp! I've read When Things Fall Apart twice and will reread Open Heart again. I think they will stay on my nightstand so I can reread them over and over. There is not a temple anywhere near me and I'm not even sure where to find a meditation teacher since I live out on the prairie in the middle of nowhere. Any other books you recommend?

Om Ma Ni Pad Me Hum!
It might be interesting to note that in the original Tibetan Om Mani Padme Hum is actually written as: Om Ma Ni Pa dMe Hum
dMe changes the pronunciation to sound like "may"
And, the 'u' between Hum, changes the pronunciation of 'm' to 'ng' so Hum sounds like "hoong".
