If you had the ability to change the society, how would you change it?

set up a one world gov't. with a parliament of maybe 100 leaders, who could not be previous ones, preferably all commoners
Start over from scratch.
All the people in the world would share the wealth evenly to start.
The laws would make things like starvation totally unacceptable, so the developing world would really benefit.
canada, usa, europe, australia, etc. would take a big hit.
but wouldnt it be worth it?
saving 50 000 kids lives a day?
to me it is.
Of course once the reset to zero had happened, we all would be free to pursue our same dreams, and some would prosper, some would not.
The safety net would be there to make sure we never have this same horror ever again.

Voting would be over the net, and penalties for crooked politicians would be severe.

Exactly!!! I don't understand all these laws that have nothing to do with the protection of people. Who cares if you smoke pot or whatever else you do in the privacy of your own home. Your not hurting anyone except maybe yourself. I think that if people had more freedom there would be less violence.

As long as there is the basic desire to get ahead there shall never be harmony in sharing everything for some people have the natural desire to have better than another. I am lucky enough to live with what I have and that is more than some and crap to others, but it makes me happy and everyday the only person I really have to live with is me....

They say before you change the world, you have to change yourself.

Like they say, "Laws are made to be broken". Less laws would mean more freedom, but there would be people who would abuse it. But I think in the long run, it'd be better to have less laws.
