ok I know its in dutchess county NY (i'm near albany) and I'm pretty sure its on rt44 or 44a.. dont know much else.. also known as Danheim I believe..
its probably a little over 2hrs away from me.. but I really really want to go see it bad (i hope the outside hasnt been repainted.. but probably has been all completly changed from the glory days of the 60s)
in flashbacks, Tim writes that It was turned into a historical site after they were evicted or whatnot, but I cant find anything about it online except for a page that talks about the cobblestone gate of it and it also says that its Private property.
does that kinda mean my chances have dropped dramatically?
or does anyone else know/have/find any information about the place at all... If I cant find anything else out in the next couple of days I'm going to maybe try emailing the dutchess county tourist office and see if they can give me any information about it... and if need be I'll try and contact the owners of the property and see If maybe it'd be posible for me to just come and see the mansion, 'meditation' house, and etc...
I really want to go there... ive been there at least once before but it wasnt physical so to speak.. to me this is the closest thing to going to tibet or some other eastern poi
