...a dog on a lead sniffing my leg. It had a lead around its neck, and my eyes wandered up the lead to see the a big burly hand. Attached to the hand was a big burly stern looking policeman.

Now it did seem strange to me that a police dog unit was in my kitchen, so I simply pointed and said "dog." and continued washing up.

Life gets more surreal as you get older, non?
