some guy from russia sent me a pm a couple of days ago wanting to know who i am and why i'm using his call sign.

seems his last name in russian is sevenriver so he translated that and used 7river on the net, but over there.

after a couple of emails i asked if he minds that i use 7river (it really has no value but a name to me). he does not mind but wants to know more about me and the forums, so i'll send another note...invite him to the field:)

never thought i'd run into another 7river...thats why i picked it *shruggs*

That's cool, I've pondering the meaning of 7river.... sort of like turtle island. I found Nirgal.com in france, it seems to be a legitimate name in europe. I used it because it was the name of a characture I identified with in a SiFi book.

i don't know. lots of things i guess. i have a weird way of thinking and perceiving

things. the seven...i don't remember maybe just simply didn't want river or it was taken. river has a lot to it. i really cannot explain it all.
it is the cycle of life
a healer
a cleanser
a mayrter
silent compassion
unescapable rage
demands respect
open and loves all

it is truth

transcending

passing you by

but you cannot grab it

you can only know it

then you too, can join the ocean

that is just one piece of it...but then everything can have deep meaning for me depends how out of control my mind is that day:)

That's so weird that he would get in touch with you about your username...man, to think I could have emailed all the 'greencarpet fibers' out there on the net and said...'what's up?'...my doors of perception have been opened yet another crack.

The more the merrier:D

I'd just gotten done watching the Willie Nelson biography and at the time Rich was also stalking me online:) so I switched from Lysergicsnail and changed Honeysuckle Rose to what you see presently.

The name you picked Ron, conjurs up powerful imagery for me...and like you said, reminds me of the rivers I have known and brings with it the power of the number. I think I bonded with the name long before we ever talked!

Last post on my "avoid the study books, I'm brain dead, I can't take in any more session"

From a UK poster point of view, the main water course in the west of England is the River Severn, and much of the country gets it domestic tap supply from the Severn River Water company. The River Severn flows through Bristol, which I believe was the point of departure for the Pilgrim Fathers. It also has a tidal bore of up to 20 feet which races up the river for may miles at high tides. For centuries, intrepid souls have ridden planks of wood in a manner not dissimilar to surfing. It's major tributary is the river Avon which flows through Stratford (on Avon) birthplace of Shakespeare and home of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Bradford (on Avon) before finally joining the Severn just beyond Bath. The Severn has traditionally been the border between England and Wales, between the mystic heathen and the upright protestant, between the ancient celtic heritage and modern scientific man, between the druid and the bishop, between voices blended in harmony and voices recorded for profit. Its the setting for one of my favourite children's books,"Heartsease", and being a harmless old duffer I also get a certain pleasure out of the Brother Cadfael novels set in medieval Shrewsbury. And as the river has moved back and forth over the years, pockets of borderland have grown, with border laws. In Shrewsbury it is still legal to hang a Welshman from the nearest tree if he is found in the town on a market day. All of these things go through my mind when I see the phrase 7river.

And in my heart I see him as first mate on the pride of the fleet of the Seven River Tugboat company. If there isn't such a thing then poetic justice\licence demands it is brought into existance right now!

Hello, right back at you, 7river (you mean it's not your real name, damn, another illusion shattered)

Hi everybody else - Moominpappa who is known as Moominmamma at week-ends is back in touch with his feminine side\alter ego. (Actually MMM has just popped out to the shops and mistakenly left this on dial - up, so I came through to turn things off, and then the old addiction seized me. Is there no hope - will I be back to 100 posts a day)

Fortunately Hamish is on the mend, and is therefore crabby and bossy, and full of cabin fever, so I won't get very long. I was distracting him so that MMM could have a quick trawl through the PM's from her many admirers - I think I begin to slightly understand this jealousy thing that non-forum partners have!!
