little green blobs

what do the little green blobs underneath the avatars mean? you know the ones i mean, if you hover the mouse above them you get 'person is in karmic balance' or 'person knows THE WAY' or whatever. i know that this question has probably been asked a million times but i must know! please explain:)

These little green blobs show your reputation, which is allocated to you over time by other members. If you click on someone else's set of scales, you can give them either good or bad rep.
